Diamond Explains Why He Used a Muzungu Cast in his Video

Diamond Tanzania

Tanzania’s self proclaimed ‘Number One’, Diamond Platnumz, is surely making his name even on the international front. On Monday he released videos of his latest tracks Mdogo Mdogo and Bum Bum which he had to dig deep in his pockets to make them a success.

However, the ‘Nataka Kulewa’ hit maker has received rather harsh feedback and critics on social media after using a Caucasian cast in his ‘Mdogo Mdogo” video which was shot in South Africa by video guru, Godfather.

In response, Diamond explained that the song sought to eliminate racial or caste prejudices that exist in the society with people from different racial backgrounds.

He went further saying that he wanted to drive home a message that love does not discriminate and people can get married even when they come from different backgrounds.
