“Vera Sidika Used Skin Lightening Because of Her Insecurities” – Says Pendo

Petite socialite, Pendo has put the spotlight on her socialite counterpart Vera Sidika in light of her skin lightening procedure. This comes ahead of both the socialites having to work together in an Mnet reality television show.

In an interview with a local daily, Pendo was speaking about the new gig when the question of Vera Sidika’s skin lightening came up. Asked where she thought the idea of Vera’s skin lightening came from, the aspiring singer did not mince her words saying, ”From her insecurities, of course. FYI, even if I am paid a huge amount of money, I would never do it. I love my skin colour.”

Alongside Vera Sidika and Pendo, the reality series will also feature an interesting cast of Silvia, Ella, Maryanne and Kiki. According to Pendo, we can expect ‘crazy’ from Ella.

“When she drinks, she is the loudest. Her true self sort of comes out.” She said

On why she decided to be part of the series, Pendo said it would go a long way in helping her evolve as a business woman.

“Personally, I saw it as a platform to evolve in many ways, especially as a business woman. It will also help me launch my singing career not to mention it’s a plus in terms of modelling,” she added.
